May 2012 Demonstrations

Society members were entertained and educated with three simultaneous demonstrations ably assisted by Master of Ceremonies Joe.  Steve demonstrated how to remove and apply root grafts to a Trident Maple.  Sally showed how to take a couple of interesting mallee roots, a few small Junipers, Mondo grass and some moss to create a very impressive Saikei or planted landscape.  Gerard was able to take several trees and selected rocks and show how to get a root over rock bonsai started.  Many helpful hints and discussions about particular aspects of the processes were shared.
