Every year the SA Bonsai Society organises a dig where they target the feral olives that grow in the Adelaide Hills. They get permission to dig in a National Park where there are literally thousands of quality wild olives of all sizes.
Since 2024 they have invited fellow Bonsai enthusiasts from the BSV to come over and share the experience, get some quality yamadori and meet the SA Bonsai community. This event has been a great success and fantastic experience. The SABS have again extended an invitation to the BSV to participate.
Please express your interest to participate to Stuart stuey_g@tpg.com.au - More information on how BSV Members can participate will follow once you express your interest. Numbers are limited.
It's a memorable weekend of teamwork, learning, and shared enthusiasm-perfect for anyone keen to expand their collection with character-filled olives and enjoy the camaraderie of the broader bonsai community.
Photos from previous years will be available so you can get a feel for the adventure and start planning ahead.
